Jonathan Chandran

Adolescent Physician and General Paediatrician

Dr Jonathan Chandran is the Medical Director of the Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine Department at Westmead Hospital, where he leads innovative, youth-centred services focused on improving health outcomes for adolescents and young adults across Western Sydney.

Having completed his fellowship training with the Sydney Children’s Hospital Network, Dr Chandran brings extensive clinical expertise in adolescent medicine, with key interests spanning neurodevelopmental and behavioural disorders, community youth health, fatigue-related conditions, eating disorders, and mental health.

Driven by a strong commitment to youth wellbeing, Dr Chandran combines clinical leadership with active involvement in research and advocacy. His work aims to strengthen health systems, influence best practice, and ensure young people receive accessible, high-quality care during critical stages of development.
